With over 1,000 different species, Berlin Zoo is one of the world's most species-rich zoos. Visit the majestic elephants, for example, or experience flights of fancy in the bird house, which was only renovated in 2016. Around 20,000 animals can call Zoo Berlin home. The petting zoo, where different breeds of domestic animals can be stroked and fed, is particularly great for the little ones.
